AVG mail scanner

AVG announces that the mail scanner is not active. I have used the free AVG
for a long time and been satisfied with it. Now in Vista the mail scanner
does not function. There are checkings in Tools/ Advanced/ Servers/ Pop an
Smtp activations. As it is question of a free version, the AVG does not
answer any questions...

The version is 8.0.100 In Advanced settings/ E-mail Scanner/ Servers/
Pop3/ Autopop3:10110 setting 'Activate this server..' is checked as well as
the AutoSMTP:10025 'Activate this server..'. However, the E-mail scanner is
still inactive.
