To each their own. ;-)
In that spirit you can modify what I think you want rather easily.
1. Right click on your Desktop, Personalize, color and appearances.
2. Near bottom of window click on open classic windows properties for
more color options.
3. Under Color Schemes, pick the one that is close to what you like
for the overall color scheme. Since you like some of the Aero
features, highlight it, then the advanced tab.
You should now see a new window with about 20 choices to play with as
far as what can be customized as to color or font family and size. If
you're still not happy with the colors choices shown click on the
little down arrow right of the color blocks, then other, then you can
customize further to your heart's content. I'll assume you already
know how to set colors either by RGB value or by moving the slider and
other control within the color space work area.
