Axim x51v and WMDC not working

Okay here goes, I have a Dell Axim x51v with the the latest rom from Dell. I
have Vista Business installed with the newest WMDC and the Dell Axim driver
update from MS update.
I dont have MS firewall or One Care so I know its not a port problem. I have
undone the advanced connectivity check on my axim so that it defaults to
serial.
I have also reinstalled WMDC 3 or 4 times now.
Windows sees my Axim fine. I can copy files to and from it, but syncing
constantly fails.

anyone have it working?

Hi,
Do you have any software firewall installed? Was Outlook installed before
WMDC?

Do you see any error codes?

No Error codes. just says sync failed. No firewall installed at all.
I have AVG antivirus installed but uninstalling that doesnt work either.
I installed Outlook 2007 before WMDC.

Sorry actually saw an error message today. "Synchronization could not be
completed. See http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=72544" But if you
follow that link it just takes you to the homepage. and says nothing of
the problem.

Hi,

Try the following and see if that helps.

1) Delete your current partnership on the device. (You can do this by going
to Mobile Device Settings -> End partnership when the device is not
connected or you can delete the partnership directly from the device)

2) Repair your Outlook profile you are trying to sync against.

3) Reboot your machine.

4) Connect your device and set up a new partnership.
