Where are background images stored?

Where on your computer are the background images for windows live messenger
stored? Can you just add photos to the folder they are store in so you can
use them in messenger? Also, where are the images stored for your display
picture?

WLM's resources are stored in the Local Settings/Application
Data/Microsoft/Messenger subdirectories.

However, you cannot work with them from there; the only way to add
backgrounds is to add them from witin WLM.

They are not under Local Settings.

They are in Application Data\Microsoft\MSN Messenger\ID (where ID is a numerical
representation of your Passport/Windows Live ID)

Backgrounds are contained within the Backgrounds folder, Display Pictures in UserTile.
