Your description of the problem is not very good at all. Are you saying that
you have no opportunity to get to personalize? Try again and be "specific"
in stating your problem if you desire specific assistance.

What I'm saying is that I cannot set anything but colors as my background
wallpaper. Everytime I try to set a pic as a background it does nothing, but
the colors will change if you select one of them.

Right click on desktop, choose Personalize, then choose Desktop Background,
then go to Picture Location and choose Windows Wallpapers. That will show
you your wallpaper options from the C:\Windows\Web\Wallpaper folder. Just
click on your choice and you'll have your picture.

Hope this helps.

David

I have just got a new computer with vista installed and have tried to
personalize my desktop although I am following all the correct instructions
and the desktop changes when I start up my computer the next day it is back
to a black screen.
When I had Windows 98 and the same thing happened I remember setting the
desktop as a web page but I can't see anything like that to do in Vista.
