hi, brand new pc, workd with no issues for a couple days, now 2nd, 3rd and
4th processors constantly running at 100%. no idea how to check what they are
doing, or more importantly how to stop it. have run virus scans and spyware
scans, uninstalled said antivirus and anti spywares, disabled automatic
updates so i know this isnt taking up the procesors.according to control
panel, file indexing is finished so i'm sure its not that.

running vista with 4 gb ram

any ideas?

Being brand new, it would be doing file indexing, etc. There is no exact
amount of time allocated to do that; could be a couple of days, or a week,
depending on amount of time your computer is left on for.
