backing up contacts and emails

hello,

I have no problem backing up my documents, photos etc because their folders
are all allocated to the E: drive, so I just copy the E;drive to a backup
volume (external hard drive)

How do I backup my contacts and emails ?. Can they be re-routed to the e:
drive as well ?
