I am trying to back up my system using WIndows back up process to a
external drive (formatted NTDS) and when I start the back up it shows
systems Recover (S and (C so it starts wiht recovery and part wa
thru an error comes 0x80070057 and the back up stops. I did som
research and one person says to shrink your c drive by 10mb which doe
not make sense and another suggestions was that is a common Vista issue
I need to backup my system to this external HD so I can re-imagine m
system. How can I get thru this. I am not very technical person. So hel
is appreciated. Thank

Hi,

Click start, type diskmgmt.msc and hit <enter> to open disk manager. In the
lower section, right click on C: and select 'shrink volume'.
