Backing Up WMP11 Audio files

Using WMP11 and WinXP Home, I've ripped a large number of my CD's to WMA
audio files.

I tried backing up sections of my C: drive to a writeable DVD Using Sonic
Digital Media Deluxe v7. When it gets to the music files, it chokes,
informing me that the file names are too long - They are pretty long.

Is there a simple way to avoid this problem and still get a backup to the
DVD?
