Backup and Restore Center won't leave me alone!!

Every now and then, my list of most recently opened programs (Start Menu)
keeps putting up an icon for Backup and Restore Center.
I never use this app and I have no backups scheduled. In fact, I evenr
tried disabling the Restore and Backup services.

Anyone else? This is quite annoying.

I don't see an OFF option.
Under "Change settings", restore is check off for both my HD's.

Did you click on the pale blue "Change setting" under the Back up files button?

Yes I did. There is no "Off" setting.
I am using Vista Ultimate.

If you go through the configuration routine once then it will give you the option
to turn it off. (at least mine did -- Ultimate here too).

I'm told this is a shell bug. I'm trying to track down the bug itself and
see if there is a workaround or explanation I can give you.
