On my computer, the D: drive is a partition on the main hard drive that was
created by the computer vendor (HP for me) solely for the purpose of being
the Recovery partition to be used only when you need to recover your system
to its original factory condition. It is not a location for backups. Not
sure what your situation is, but I do not use my D: drive for anything. I
have an external USB hard drive as my sole backup destination.
