I have an HPn8020m Media Center with Vista Home Premium edition. After
experiencing many Vista problems (WMP lost library, unable to add new
printers among others) I started to take steps to reload the operating system
from scratch. When I aatmepted to run a full backup I got the following error:
The backup did not complete successfully. A shadow copy could not be
completed for the following reason:
Shadow copying the specified volume is not supported (0x8004230C)
I was doing a full system backup to an HP portable media drive (500gb). My
computer has 3 partitions set by the OEM
