Backup Failed

My Backup is scheduled for once monthly on the first of each month. I had a
successful backup in May and June. The backup for the 1st of July gave me
an error (A shadow copy could not be created for the following reason:
Access is denied (0x80070005) I wonder what happened to cause my access to
be denied. Anyone have a clue where I can look or what I can do? I looked
at google but now I am more confused than ever. Help!

Thanks Michael, but I didn't find a solution there. I also am missing my
last system restore point. I tried to make a new restore point but cannot
because group policy in vista premium won't allow it. Hmmm I wonder why.
