Hi,

Does anyone know hot to backup all userwinks, emocons and so on in WML?
Where is it saved? And can i transfer them to an other computer?

Greetings Frank,

Actually just copying over the files won't work I'm afraid due to how the storage format
works. Instead, use this tool to transfer them:
http://www.baisoft.it/msnbackup_english.asp

Thanks,

I saw that one before though. But i always like to do those things myself.
Just copying will not help, that i know, but is there a way to do it manually?

Ill try the program anyway, cos i have loads installed at the moment(found a
free site)

Hi,

Manually.. not exactly. If you're into decryption algorithms, sure. Additionally, you could
copy over some of the files and readd them one-by-one manually since for example the
CustomEmoticons are just PNG and GIF files renamed to DAT.

Very usefull, but i see what you mean. I have downloaded the source code of
msnbackup, ill have to do some more reading and see where it will take me.

How would I compile these files? Ive never worked with .bas (Basic) files,
do you know of any "free" compilers for BASIC?
