Bad Image Errors

I'm running Windows Vista Ultimate. Quite out of the blue, probably as a
result of something I've done (!) I'm receiving Bad Image errors on two
programs, Network Magic & IE7. The thing is the programs work fine after
clicking OK on the error dialogs.

For Network Magic, I receive the following error dialog:
Network Magic Notification: nmapp.exe - Bad Image
C:\Windows\system32\inetres.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or
it contains an error. Try installing the program again...

For IE7:
iexplore.exe - Bad Image
C:\Windows\AppPatch\AcRedir.DLL is either not designed...

I've run sfc/ scannow & that did not correct the issue.

Ideas? Thanks.
