Balloon Tip for windows update does not disappear

Hi,

This morning windows update reminded me to download and install
KB889293 (Cumulatieve beveiligingsupdate voor Internet Explorer 6
Service Pack 1). After downloading and installing the update the
balloon tip remains visible. It does not disappear. I checked whether
or not the update was downloaded properly and it was. When I move my
mouse over the balloon tip it says: "Updates Downloaden 0%". I tried
disbaling balloon tips in the registry but that does not work. My Task
Manager shows 2 processes called wuauclt.exe. One used by the system
and another by my username.
I also noticed that in windows\system 32 there is a wuauclt.exe and a
wuauclt1.exe. I though that wuauclt.exe should only be present when
you installed SP2, which I didn't.
Does anyone have an idea ??
