Greetings,

RTC is used for the voice codecs. It is unmanaged.

Hi Mark,

There is a managed Add-ins API becoming available soon. However, Messenger actually does
have an API, although the documentation is 4 major versions out of date and as such, is
purely "unofficial". Check out http://forums.fanatic.net.nz for some sample code.

Following your link I saw that the api is not similar to the RTC which
enables the developer to build a whole application similar to Windows
Messenger. This one only expands the functionality of the product.
Is there any plan to offer a similar functionality to Live Messenger?

Thanks

Mark

Hi Mark,

Nope. I see what you're trying to do. This isn't official of course, but you might be
interested in this (and it's managed):

Thanks

Hi Mark,

Nope. If you want voice/video, you'll have to do your own implementation and use the RTC
APIs (as you already know).
