Hi, I have upgraded the operating sytem in my laptop from windows xp home
edition to windows vista home premium. Unfortunately, after upgrading, the
battery icon cannot be found in the taskbar and I could not be able to make
it appeared, because there is no option to show it in the control panel
(power options). In addition, there is no mobile pc utility in the control
panel.

If you right-click the Taskbar, and choose Properties, on the Notification
Area tab it lists the System icons available for your computer. You would
want the Power icon.

If you have no Windows Mobility Center shortcut,

be needing Vista-compatible notebook utility drivers, among others, from
your computer manufacturer.

option as well but then still not able to check these two and hence it does
not appear on my taskbar and i am not able to identify the battery%.
