Here's why... bear with me... you'll see what is happening...
I have a GMail account where I've configured the WLM IMAP folders (see
Tools/Accounts Properties... IMAP folders) with a [GMail] root folder
path... not the so-called "standard setup" ... one quirk with this setup is
that 2 copies of every sent mail occur (thanks Google) through different
mechanisms.
First, GMail automatically copies each sent message regardless of how you
configure WLM. It is this copy that does not display the bcc info... Why???
I'll get to that shortly... (BTW: Even in Gmail this sent copy does NOT
display the bcc info).
However... if I set WLM to "Save a copy of sent messages in the "Sent Items"
folder (Tools/Options... Send tab), the bcc info is retained in that copy
(remember, I told you I get 2 copies of each sent message with my GMail
config) in both WLM and in the GMail web reader...
Looking at the headers of each sent copy explains the result you are
observing... The reason that GMail's sent copy does not retain the bcc info,
is because it is mailed (via the smtp server) to the sender (yourself, via
bcc), and like other recipients, the recipient (you, in this case) has no
access to the bcc distribution. On the other hand, the sent copy stored by
WLM is synced with Gmail (not sent via the smtp server) and as such retains
the full sent distribution info.
I hope that is clear...
