beating a dead horse here...Error 1305...0x80070005...etc...

I am trying to install the new Windows Update installer, and have ran across
this dreaded error message....I have tried absolutely everything that is
listed here, and still cannot get it download and successfully run this
update...I am no longer able to receive/install udates for Windows XP
Professional Edition...I updated from Home about 4 days ago, and installed
Microsoft Office 2000 (and was able to download all updates for this)...this
problem started occurring when I updated from Home to Professional....can
someone help please?

Answering my own post....

I actually found something that I did not do in another post...imagine that!

The post is titled SP2 installation failure (found below....)

and the poster was SAM!...what he said to do worked! May want to try this!
