How do I change Vista to behave like XPPro. I hate Vista's security
handling! Is there a setting to simulate XPPro's behaviour?

If you really want to reduce your level of security you can turn off lots of
settings in the Security Center in Control Panel.
The if you want to disable UAC just do a search in the Help for UAC -
you will find all the instructions you need there.
Also if you just search for Security again you will find lots of
advice and guidance on security - so that you can understand the impact your
decision to reduce your level of security may have on you.

I will take the risk. I don't usually go to questionable web sites and do
not receive emails from that machine. I only use that machine for my
development work and whenever I install an application it sometimes get bog
down because of the security setting. This happens even though I am the
admin. It is a new laptop and according to the manufacturer XP drivers are
not available for this, otherwise I would have downgraded it to XP.

Thanks for the info.
