bell sound in firefox

Hi,
I have a bell sound when I am surfing. I am not on a site that might have
flash embedded and I at a loss to understand why! Can someone explain why?

Look in Firefox's Add-ons and see if you have installed something that could
cause this. Look in Control Panel>Sounds to see what sounds are associated
with what events. Perhaps you have an instant messaging client running.

Otherwise, no one but a person sitting at the computer can know what is
causing the sounds.
