(Please don't delete previous entries, thanks)

Nero is not free, and it's not the best either.

I am 64 Bit Ultimate & Nero 7 Essentials doesn't work on that so I use
Cheetah which also burns 8.5 Gb DVD's. Unsure if Nero 8 works because it's
full of adverts through feeds

DVD Shrink is for copying discs removing macro protection & region settings.
If you do a lot of pirate films then this is why it's used

Roxio is simple to use but I have never liked this software but each to
their own I suppose. Have always used Nero until 64 bit Ultimate

Maybe have a look on a site called 'CD Freaks'
(http://www.cdfreaks.com/software/). They have a wide range of software
there which also has reviews

Ashampoo - seriously it's free and I've used it since BETA Longhorn... great
product.

Try with 'PowerISO - Create, Edit, Compress, Encrypt, Split, Mount
Extract ISO file, ISO/BIN converter, Virtual Drive
(http://www.poweriso.com).

It has full support for Windows 2000, Windows XP (x86 & x64), Window
2003, any (x86 & x64), Vista, any (x86 & x64), Windows 2008 any (x86
x64).

Features in brief, for all mentioned platforms:

- Price is about €23 (unregistered version has size limitation
when making image files)
- Has virtual DVD driver (supporting up to 23 virtual drives)
- Supports following disk image formats (and cross-converts them
because author didn't put that on his web site, this is from th
registered copy) *ISO*, *BIN*, *NRG*, *IMG*, *DAA*, *CDI*, *BIN*, *CUE*
*MDF*, *MDS*, *ASHDISC*, *BWI*, *B5I*, *LCD*, *CIF*, *P01*, *PDI*
*PXI*, *GI*, *FCD*, *VCD*, *C2D*, *DMG*, *BIF*, *UIF*
- Supports proprietary DAA disk image format which utilizes LZM
compression (if you have fast CPU, loading of uncompressed data is eve
faster than with any other Virtual CD emulation software)
- Burns like hell
- Optimizes CDFS in such way, that for example, when you have documen
*-A.doc-* and *-B.doc-* and they are binary identical, it will creat
just a hard link to *-B.doc-* meaning only one physical file is saved
the other one is linked to its content; this way you can put multipl
Windows installations or service packs on the same disk, knowing tha
more than 50% in all installations are the same
- Really reliable
- No fat interfaces, *installation* is 1124Ki

The best DVD copying software isn't available for Windows. You need
Linux for Brasero.
