Hello All,
I inherited a setup that has 100 pc's win 2K & xp pro.
8 win 2K, and 2 win 2K3 servers.
Short of using MS Update, how would you go about rolling out 100 updates
(very few have been applied).
I guess to start I should segment the servers & the pc's they service into
high & low priority as far as who can aford to be down if something
unexpected occurs.
Once decided I would start with the low priority (areas that could afford
down time if something occured) and apply the updates. Here is my question,
Do i set say the 20 pc's in the 1'st group to auto update on? Do I use a GPO
to control what pc's in the 1'st group get updated & when? If the latter are
there any KB article that have info on the subject.

Thanks for any thoughts.
