In theory, any CTP that has a month involved in the name will *generally* be
released within that specific month P
ie. October CTP - released 14th October
February CTP - released 22nd February

and so on ;o)

It was noted by a Microsoft employee today that the next release will be
BETA 2, no guarantees of a interim build but they are trying. Also, BETA 2
will be coming in the second quarter, that means it could be April, but to
me its like May or sometime in June.

I did not say that, I said it will not be explicitly known as BETA 2, it
will be desguised by a CTP.

Tried to sign up for this at the MS web site as I honestly NEED it to
familiarise myself with Vista ahead of my users and for the life of me get
sent around in circles there. I am trying to sign up for Windows Vista Beta
2 and every time I try I end up at a new MS Office Beta which I am not
particularly worried about at this point.

Anyone here able to reply with the signup URL for Windows Beta 2 for me
please? No, I am not trying to do anything silly, nasty, illegal. I work for
myself and got caught out when XP came out, not able to get my hands on a
copy of it till the day after it came out, when I bought Home version. My
office customers already had that in one company and I was floundering for a
little while which is very embarrassing.

Thanks for any help.

Correct. I am not rich!

I am, however, a registered company (self employed only me in it) doing work
for a fair lot of companies. At $35 an hour you tend not to get rich
quickly....or at all to be honest!

Its best you wait then on the Public release available within the next 3
weeks. Vista is not gonna RTM anytime soon, so you will have enough time to
get a head start before a lot of persons. You can start reading up articles
and monitor the ngs here which is a great resource of information for Vista.
