BIG Problems with Multitasking

Hi gang,
I'm having huge problems with WinVista Home Premium 32bit! It doesn't
seem to be able to cope with more that one thing at a time. I've done a
Disk Cleanup, Disk Defrag but to no avail. When Windows starts up it
loads as normal but then seems to continue doing a lot of work in the
background. My sytem tray contains HP Digital Imaging Monitor; Media
Manager Services; Adobe Photo Downloader; Realtek HD Audio Manager;
Bullguard v7.3.

Does anyone know if there is a Vista bug around, which sxows down
systems to a near standstill, or have is it more likely to be an
application that I have installed.

Thanks in advance
Chris

Hi Chris.

Please pardon the accidental blank post, it was from an errant click of
the mouse. It sounds like your machine may be lacking the proper
hardware resources to run vista possibly. Please post your hardware
specs. Also, disable the indexing service to stop the computer running
in the background constantly. Have you tried checking the Windows
Experience Index rating?

If this is a new problem in a machine that previously operated properly you
should run every malware scan you can get hold of.
