Bios info in WindowsUpdate.log

Here is a portion of my WindowsUpdate.log file:

How does Windows XP SP2 detect the Computer Model and Bios Revision?

Can I use that to detect the BIOS revision on other computers on my network?

Seems to be closer to the data that msinfo32 gets than the data
that the is saved in the registry under this subkey: ;o

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HARDWARE\DESCRIPTION\System

It would be simpler to use: msinfo32 /category SystemSummary /computer <computername>

Notice all the other options available with that tool using either
the command line help msinfo32 /? or the program's Windows Help
