birthday entry won't go away

Windows Live Essentials 2011. WIN 7 Ultimate.

I have a birthday entry in my WLE calendar that I can't delete or edit. It's
not in my web-based calendar, and the person is no longer in any of my
contacts folders, either web-based or in the WLE contacts folder on my PC.
It's a read only entry, just like any other birthday entry in WLE, and to
delete it I'd normally have to go to the web-based calendar or contacts
folder. But it's not there. How can I get rid of it? I don't mind having to
reset the whole thing on my PC if it gets rid of it.

If not present in your web based Live ID calendar and that same Live ID is
used for logging on to Windows Live in WLM then delete the local calendar
database folder via Windows Explorer and allow WLM to recreate.
1. Close WLM
2. Navigate using Windows Explorer to the Windows Live Calendar folder
- C:\Users\<your windows logon name>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Live
Mail\Calendars
3. Delete the folder for that Live ID (email address)
4. Open WLM and signon to Live with that same Live ID
5. Perform a full sync to rebuild the Calendar
- WLM 11 Ribbon/Home tab/Send Receive/Update All

If still present for that Live ID, the problem may exist with the online
calendar.
