BITS 2.0 / WinHTTP 5.1 keeps trying to dl / install

My Update constantly popsup in my icon tray that I need
to download "Update for Background Intelligent Transfer
Service (BITS) 2.0 and WinHTTP 5.1 (KB842773)". I
repeatedly download and install it (automatic and
manually), reboot my computer, and watch the same icon /
update pop up again.

The Microsoft troubleshoot site lists "Update repeatedly
shows up after successfully installed", but doesn't
mention that once clicking the link.

Any ideas to this annoying little problem?

I had the same problem and this is what I did to overcome this.

First, do nothing with the automatic update icon in the system tray.

Download file directly Microsoft.com, install after download and reboot your
computer, if it ask to do so :

Update for Background Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS) 2.0 and WinHTTP
5.1 (KB842773)
