Bizare Permissions Problem with "My Documents"

I am using an old piece of code (someone else's) which tries to write to
my "My Documents" folder.

I know that this is a junction and all the good stuff, and should 'just
work.'

However for _one_ of the account on my system, when the code runs its
reports that it can't write to "My Documents".

I have tried setting the permissions on that accounts "My Documents"
and Documents folders to match that of users that don't have this
problem, but that doesn't seem to help. It is almost as if there may be
permission settings I can't access.

Any suggestions?
