Black Bars on Monitor

I just bought a new desktop with Vista Home Premium,and when I hooked it up
to my 19" LCD flat monitor I have two Black bars about 1 inch wide on both
sides of monitor. Is there any way of changing this?

Try different screen resolutions.. if nothing works, resize the screen image
using the controls on the front of the monitor..

You might also try changing the monitor refresh rate LCD displays work at
60Hrz.

Not all - some run at 72Hz or higher.
