It takes longer the more RAM you have.
The system has to write all used ram (including video ram) to disk before it
shuts down.
So slow disks and large memories make it slower.
Mine takes about 45 seconds to hibernate 3G RAM, Fujitsu MHW2120 disk (I
haven't actually timed it with a stop watch).
