Blank Emails; just header

This problem started on Thursday. While I can read my email fine on the
webserver, sometimes the email is coming through blank in OE. There is a
header but nothing in the body. If I reboot the computer it seems to be ok
again for a while. My ISP said it's an XP problem with no patch. That
they've had five or six calls on it. Could this be or are they pulling my
leg. What can I do to stop it? Could it be the result of a Windows Update?
Thanks.

Do you have email scanning on in your anti-virus program?

No. I run AVG and keep the email scanner off because we have email scanning
through my ISP.

Some things to try:

Go to Start
Then select: Run
Type in: regsvr32 inetcomm.dll
Then press Enter.

If that didn’t work then in Outlook Express
On the Menu select Tools
Then select: Options
Then select: Read
Then select: Fonts
Change the default encoding setting to Western European (ISO)
Finally in Internet Explorer delete the Temporary Internet Files including all offline content.

If the problem persists it may be due to spyware/malware/parasites:
Spyware Programs links:-
www.lavasoftusa.com Ad-Aware
www.security.kolla.de Spybot

If all the above fail to fix the problem then, go here:

Thanks!! I'll give the suggestions a try. I don't think it's spyware or
such as I've run a number of different programs of that type in the last
couple days. I appreciate the help!!
