Blank templates on VB Express

Installed Visual Studio.Net last year on workstation but could never find the
time to learn the whole package. Last week installed VB Express on laptop and
very pleased to see just the kind of software package I need for simple
programs.

So, went ahead and removed Visual Studio.Net from workstation and dl VB
Express. Appeared to install fine, but went to use and found the templates
window for new projects to be blank. Poked around the programs listint and
see that Visual Studio.Net Academic 2003 is still there. When I attempt to
remove I view a window with numbers 1-4. In the second paragraph there is
mention of removal, but nothing else.

I would assume that I need to remove this first of all, as .Net Beta 2 IS
installed.

Looks like I'm going to love the Express approach, if I can just get this to
work on my workstation.
