Hello,

Could you please help me?
I was downloading a disk for a digital camera to be able to edit
pictures, etc, and then when directed to restart my computer all I got
was a blue screen with the following error message and since then I have
not been able to do anything.

The operating system is Vista Home Premium
The computer is an Acer 9302WSMi
Processor is AMD TurionTL-50

I have tried holding down the F8 key when starting and have tried all
the reboot options but nothing works.

The error message on the blue screen is:
0x0000007E
0xC0000005
0x85D30B04
0x87B6768C
0x87B67388

Furthermore, when I try rebooting from the System Recovery screen,
Windows Complete PC Restore Option
I get the following message:
An internal error ocurred. Incorrect function: 0x80070001

On the System Recovery Options screen there is a Command Prompt. Since
I have exhausted the other options do you think I can reboot is MS-Dos?
If so could you please let me know what the commands should be?

Thanks, I appreciate any help that you can provide.

David

There is no MS-DOS in Vista, but you can do a System Restore from the Safe
Mode Command Prompt or by putting your Vista DVD in the drive and booting
from it.

At the command prompt, type rstrui.exe, and then press ENTER.

How to run System Restore from the Vista DVD repair options:

Do a System Restore to before you installed the camera software. Do not
install this camera software again! Instead, use a USB card reader to get
your camera's pictures and one of the many image editing programs that is
compatible with Vista. A good free one is Picasa from Google.

1. You should not lose your files.

However, your question indicates to me that you haven't been backing up.
Create and implement a backup strategy in the future so you don't lose your
precious data.

2. Any Vista DVD will work. Also see:
