Block File sharing

To enhance our security and limit bandwith usage, I want to block the folder
sharing in Windows Live Messenger. Our Company Firewall allows me to block to
"old" file transfer and other things, but not the new "Folder Sharing" in
Windows Live Messenger. It seems to use a wide range of ports, so blocking
ports is out of the question.

Anyone who knows any GPO settings or something that can help me do this?

Unfortunately, Messenger hasn't had any GPO options since version 4.x and you're right, you
cannot stop this just from ports.

You may want to contact your firewall vendor and see if they have any plans to upgrade to
accommodate this.
