stop blocking these programs? Every time I turn on my machine, it blocks
the same programs from starting up while allowing the rest. If there is a
way, I haven't found it yet to tell Vista to always allow these programs to
start. Well, it's only been 5 days since I started using Vista. I know
it's in here somewhere.

I have Windows defender disabled, but I think it is in there under the
tools tab somewhere.

hi , goto defender ,open up tools ,software explorer, then click show for all
users and the program/s will be listed on the left you will then have the
option to disable /permit on startup hope this helps

Thanks, but......the "Enable" button is grayed out. I've tried Disable,
then Enable, but I still get the "Not Yet Classified" along those that I
want to startup. The two programs I want to startup are shown on their web
sites as Vista programs. And when it says "Not Yet Classified", exactly
what does that mean?

as i understand it it means that defender thinks it is a risk to your system
or security and will not allow you to include in startup programs it would
help if we now what programs they were

Hi, you can do something about it, turn UAC off for good.
