Hi was reading this and have had the same problem with that particular update
as well, nothing on my computer had been changed or modified in anyway save
for the update, about a month ago this same update was disabled by me through
the msconfig tool because it caused my computer to hang half way through load
up, everything was good til a day or so ago the same update presents itself
on auto update I click install restart and it hung again, went back to ms
config viola its the same update I had to disable last time, can't get it to
work, everything else on computer works fine without it, it apparetnly
doesn't work well with the other programs in my start up folder but they are
the very basics, just system tray and what it absolutely takes to run windows
and anti virus and firewall, it hangs right before those programs load,
always display and sound load and then its supposed to be AVG and Zone Alarm,
but it just hangs, not sure what I should do about it though, if I could save
the update to file then I could go offline and uninstall the antivirus and
firewall and then install update and then reinstall antivirus and firewall,
or maybe I should try to get the download in safe mode? you can go on the net
in safe mode, any help would be appreciated but I already know how to use the
msconfig tool, have been able to keep my machine in good running order for
some time now because of my understanding of it, but this update won't play
nice so I'm stumped,
