bluescreen issue

I have a Toshiba Satellite P305D-S8818 that runs Vista Home Premium and
when ever I log on using a normal boot-up it will go to bluescreen, and
ask to reboot in safe mode. When I reboot in safe mode it will give me a
message saying that windows has recovered from a serious error and it
gives me the following information about said error:

Problem Event: bluescreen
OS Version: 6.0.6001.2.1.0.768.3
Locale ID: 1003

BCCode: 1000008e
BCP1: C0000005
BCP2: 8CBC9B75
BCP3: 9AAD568C
BCP4: 00000000
OS Version: 6_0_6001
Service Pack: 1_0
Product: 768_1

These problems all began when I was trying to install a new game onto
my computer. I have tried resuming from a previous system restore point,
but I just keep getting messages saying that for an unexpected reason,
the system restore was not successful. I have tried changing the
processes that open when the computer boots, but that still leads to a
bluescreen even when not booted up in safe mode. Any help or ideas would
be greatly appreciated and please keep in mind that I can currently only
use the computer in "Safe Mode." Thank you for listening.

Was the game Vista compatible? Can you uninstall it in safe mode?
Most likely there is either a corrupted device driver or a problem with some
process or service trying to load in a normal boot. Try selecting to boot
into VGA mode to check if it's the video driver. See link below also.
