Bluescreen on start-up

The past few weeks I occasional get the windows start-up stopping and going
to a blue screen that says something about a crash dump and says to check
the bios,
which I did and is still set-up the way it was installed. I have plenty of
disk space left also. The stop message says-STOP:0x0000008E, with other
numbers in brackets. Are those drivers that arecausing this and how to I get
to them? The start-up then continues after the message goes.

Has anyone seen this on Vista before and how do I stop it? I am worried it
may cause a complete crash. I have been running Vista since March with no
other problems.

Thanks

That is an error message for the chipset driver's PCI system device driver,
update chipset mother board drivers ,or roll them back in device manager

oxc0000001
stop 0x0000007F
it has been freezing and I cannot get to safe mode, I have not installed
anything so not sure what to do.

I had the same problems with my laptop. I took it home and took it out of
the box, plugged it in and pushed the power button...and got the infamous
blue screen of death. Turns out it was a RAM issue. Got it fixed under
warranty for free as it was not my fault.

On two occasions I have suffered similar problems. It gives a BSOD whilst
booting ( its so quick you cant read anything ) and reboots and the BDOD's.
This just keeps happening.

What stopped it for me was turned the main power of on the PSU ( it has a
on/off switch ). On both occasions this fixes the problem
