BLuetooth ability on my Gateway MX8711

I see that in the instruction book that came with my computer it tells me how
to connect my bluetooth. Is there the need to add additional software to
operate this because when I push the buttons to turn it on nothing happens?
I'm lost help!

I have the same laptop and have the same issue. I don't think these
laptop came with BLUETOOTH receivers/Transmitters, however, have the
BLUETOOTH button on the keyboard.
