I am getting a blue screen error at shut down after installing vista home
premium. I get the IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL line and the tech info ***STOP
0X0000000A(0X000000B0,0X00000002,0X00000000,0X81C1 1BAF). Please help.

A stop 0x0A error is either a hardware error or a driver problem. Start by
updating all device drivers with the latest available from the
manufacturers' Web sites.

Performing an upgrade?
Update all drivers and try again.
You may simply have one of those combinations of hardware that Vista just
can't handle, yet.
~~~
If you are performing a clean install, updating device drivers will not
help. You have to get past the hardware issue that is preventing a
successful installation first.
For a clean install that continually fails:
Unplug all but the installation drive (if you have more than one hard
drive.)
Remove all USB devices.
If you have on-board video and/or sound, remove any video / sound
cards that you have improved your computer with.
Remove any cards that you can initially live without... network,
modem, etc.
In the BIOS, turn off SLI.
Try to re-install vista.
If successful, then reinstall components one at a time with the
machine turned off so that the reboot detects the device properly. Install
latest driver for device after installation. THEN, install the next
component.
(Like the old days when we used to do it all ourselves.)
If it still fails, try updating the BIOS. It is least likely the
problem, but there are some out there that cause problems.
Since you did not list your stuff, look around... there are some bad
combinations that Vista just doesn't like at this point.
Good luck!
