bookmark icons

I've at some time ago got a small unique icon at each of the URL bookmark
(at the left of the bookmark name) in my Favorite. It now becomes all with
the IE (blue e) for all the bookmarks.
P'se advise how to set it back as it would be much easier to get to the
right bookmark by just spotting the respective icon instead of reading the
names sequentially.

They're called Favicons. They are stored in Temporary Internet Files (TIF)
and are lost when TIF is cleared or they expire out of TIF. They can be
preserved with this program:
