Bookmarks for WMP

Is it possible to bookmark one or more positions in a video file stored on my
harddrive? Back in 2007 someone said No, it's not possible. Any change
since then? Many thanks for any help.

No, as far as I know, it still isn't possible.

The Windows Media Player Plus! plug-in, however, can save the current
position when you exit WMP, and restore that position when WMP is
