about two weeks ago my PC started to display Windows Boot Manager everytime I
started the PC. This is a new PC and only has Vista Home Premium loaded and
has never had any other OS loaded on the hard disk, so is not Dual Boot.

I Have loaded EasyBCD and can find no problems there, see log below:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There is one entry in the Vista Bootloader.
Bootloader Timeout: 0 seconds.

Click on the blue Vista start button and in the "Start Search" box
type: MSCONFIG. Click on the msconfig icon when it appears
and then click on the Boot tab. Uncheck any checked boxes,
then click Apply.

Tried Cary Frischer's answer, did not work for me. Ended up with
a safe mode Taskbar . I found my own answer by right clicking "My
Computer"And select "properties" Then in the left hand column select
"Advanced System Settings" In the systems properties box choose the "Advanced
Tab" and click "Setting" In start up and recovery. Now select "Microsoft
windows Vista" as the default operating system and Uncheck the "Time To
Display List Of Operating Systems" Box . this cured my problem. If you
have'nt found a cure yet perhaps this will help, If you have perhaps it will
help somebody else

It may be that it needs re-setting try checking then un-checking
and then re-starting your computer? May help. There a Malware thats about
called a "rootkit" That may cause this . Download and run the Windows
Malicious Tool Remover.
