Boot Time

Is there any way to analize the boot time of vista. In Xp I used bootvi
to see what drivers/hardware is at fault. My Vista ultimate machin
takes about 5 to 8 minutes to start up.

I know it must be something to do with the devices or services, becaus
when I select diagnostic startup, the machine loads very fast

Open the Event Viewer. Drill down to

Applications and Services Logs => Microsoft => Windows =>
Diagnostics-Performance => Operational

Look at the events in the Task Category "Boot Performance". This will give
the times that different drivers and programs took to load if they are
causing a delay.
