Hi I'm Dave
I recently installed a programme called "Vistabootpro"?
Something like that anyway. I thought it would help me sort out the long time
it takes for my computer to boot. But i found it a bit to complex and
powerful. Having uninstalled it i now find my computer, on start-up, takes me
to a boot-up page, and then a Loading Files page and then computer type ect
page and then a disc checkpage? and then finally loads. Does anybody know how
i can get rid of these first four pages without doing a restore, because i'm
having probs with that! All good fun i know. I would very grateful for some
help
REGARDS DAVE LANE

Rightclick the Command Prompt icon on the start menu, then 'run as
administrator'
Run this series of commands to rebuild your startup.

bcdedit /export C:\BCD_Backup
c:
cd boot
attrib bcd -s -h -r
ren c:\boot\bcd bcd.old
bootrec /RebuildBcd
