Bootmanager missing

Acronis backup on Vista on the same computer. Image it from disk 1 C:\ to
disk 2 (2nd Partition) Restored on disk 2 partition 1. Took off the first
drive and connected the 2nd drive and booted and it said "missing boot
manager" I didn't put a jumper on it because it performs at SATA2 (3
gigs\s). I took my Vista disk and said fix the boot and that didn't work.
Maybe the image isn't no good.

In vista when I can't boot how can I tell if the C:\ is active or not?
