first post here
I have read others about this but nothing seems to work for me.
I turn on computer.
It runs a quick spec
"Bootmgr Is Compressed press ctrl+alt+delete"
I press the 3 and end up right back where I started.
I have tried to boot from os disc but it that wont load and the
dvd drive works fine.
I've tried to enter bios and can't. I tried all my fkeys, delete, esc.
I don't care about the data and am willing to start fresh again...
If only I can get the os disc to load!
If anyone can help me please thanks a lot.

Hi Aidengreen,

If you cannot get in to BIOS as normal, there may be some problem with the
hardware. You can try to run a memory test or leave only one stick of memory
there on your machine and see whether that will make some changes. You can
use the memory which is running well on other machines for the test. If the
problem is not with the memory, you can work on the BIOS or mainboard or
power supply. There could be a BIOS virus or some chips toasted. But memory
failure are mostly seen causing it. After that get fixed, you can recover
your system with the CD. There are some helpful links on the following page.

Thank you Donald for this advice and for looking into this for me.
This is my #2 computer at home and it is a bit old (1999 i belive). It
has one stick of ram and I will replace that with a new new one to see
if that works. I'm sure it's not a bios virus and the hard drive is new
so hopefully
it's not the mobo. I most certanly thank you for the info and hope it
works!
If not...I need a new computer build project anyway.
