If you cannot get in to BIOS as normal, there may be some problem with the
hardware. You can try to run a memory test or leave only one stick of memory
there on your machine and see whether that will make some changes. You can
use the memory which is running well on other machines for the test. If the
problem is not with the memory, you can work on the BIOS or mainboard or
power supply. There could be a BIOS virus or some chips toasted. But memory
failure are mostly seen causing it. After that get fixed, you can recover
your system with the CD. There are some helpful links on the following page.
