system I want.

It offers 3 choices
previous OS
Windows Vista
Windows XP

How to I stop this so it automatically starts Vista Home Premium?

More info is required - do you have XP and some other OS on the
primary HDD , or did you upgrade from XP to Vista ?.
Best to "tell all " no one here uses Chrystal balls much these days,
they are too unreliable.

Hi,

Click start, type msconfig and hit <enter> to open the system configuration
utility. Go to the boot tab, select the unwanted entries and click on
delete.

You can reduce the timeout to choose which OS to boot to to 0
[zero] effectively not displaying that screen by doing this:
In Vista, right-click Computer, and then choose Properties from the pop-up
menu. Next, click Advanced System Settings and then click the Startup And
Recovery Settings button. This displays the Startup And Recovery window,
where you can select the default OS [Vista in this case] then change the
length of time the Boot Menu appears. Set it to 0 [zero] and you're good to
go
